Ke$ha

After making music for other artists, singer-songwriter Ke$ha gained fame when her debut single ‘Tik Tok’ reached number 1 in 11 countries—and helped her snag the 2010 Best New Act EMA.

After paying her dues as a songwriter—while working as a waitress to support herself--Ke$ha had her first breakthrough hit with Flo Rida’s 2009 ‘Right Round’, featuring her vocals. But she really burst onto the scene in her own right later that year with the release of her debut single ‘Tik Tok’, which reached number one in 11 countries, and set a record for most digital downloads in a week by a female artist. The Nashville-raised singer-songwriter performed at the 2010 EMAs in Madrid and took home that year’s Best New Act award.

Ke$ha’s 2010 debut album, 'Animal', has sold more than 2 million copies.

The first single from her forthcoming second album is called 'Die Young.'
