Snoop Dogg

It’s his natural appeal to both the hood and to Hollywood that has allowed Snoop Dogg to stay tremendously relevant through an almost 20-year-long career that has included rap, movies, TV, and a reality show. Since bursting into our collective consciousness alongside famed producer Dr. Dre on the 1992 classic The Chronic, Snoop has remained a constant force in hip-hop and a household name around the world.

The rapper from Long Beach, California, released his debut disc Doggystyle in 1993 and saw it debut at number one, moving nearly a million copies its first week. He won the 2005 EMAs for Best Male Act and Best Song, and the 2010 EMA for Best Hip-Hop—as well as sharing Best Video honours with Katy Perry for ‘California Gurls,’ on which his distinctive flow is featured.
