MTV PRESENTS FINALE OF BELFAST MUSIC WEEK
WITH MTV LIVE AT ULSTER HALL
KASABIAN TO HEADLINE AND JAPANESE POPSTARS TO PERFORM
LONDON – 27 OCTOBER 2011 – MTV UK – a division of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN UK & Ireland) – has announced today that it will be marking the finale of Belfast Music Week with two intimate performances at one of central Belfast’s most iconic settings.
MTV LIVE AT ULSTER HALL - taking place on Saturday 5th November – promises lucky competition winners an exclusive night of music from two of the UK’s finest acts of 2011: a headline slot for British rock juggernaut KASABIAN, supported by multi-award winning, Northern Irish electro band JAPANESE POPSTARS.
For KASABIAN fans, this performance will be a special preview of the band’s huge UK arena tour that kicks off at Belfast’s Odyssey Arena on Friday 25 November.
Fixing the spotlight firmly on Belfast, MTV LIVE AT ULSTER HALL will be filmed by MTV and broadcast internationally in high-definition as part of the network’s 1 hour ‘MTV WORLD STAGE’ – MTV’s global music initiative which gives music fans across the world access to the most exclusive gigs and unique concert locations. MTV WORLD STAGE performances are broadcast on 63 MTV channels across 152 territories globally.
In addition to MTV WORLD STAGE, highlights from both performances will be featured on MTV UK music channels MTV ROCKS and MTV MUSIC on SATURDAY 19TH NOVEMBER FROM 9PM, with repeats running across both channels throughout the rest of the year.
MTV Live at Ulster Hall will take place from 7pm – 10.15pm on SATURDAY 5 NOVEMBER 2011
